But just as she was pulling out from the church building about 12:30 p.m., at Mozart Avenue and 147th Street, a stolen Dodge Charger struck Odneal’s vehicle, killing her upon impact, said Posen Mayor Frank Podbielniak. She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center as paramedics attempted to revive her, the mayor said, but she was pronounced dead at 1:33 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Jeremy Hylka, 44, was released Tuesday morning from Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital in New Lenox, police said. Hylka’s attorney notified Joliet police beforehand, and Hylka was arrested and booked “without incident,” police said. He was released shortly after on $10,000 cash bond.
For now, the vaccine likely won’t be widely available in the systems’ pediatric offices, partly because of storage requirements, Dr. Allison Bartlett, pediatric infectious disease specialist Comer, said at a news conference Tuesday. Pfizer vaccines must be kept in ultracold storage before being administered.
“Like adults, all youth age 12 and older are encouraged to get the vaccine,” Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady said in news release. “Current data show that the vaccine is safe and effective in children, and it not only protects our kids, but also their families and our communities.”
Anthony Moody was arrested Sunday in the South Side neighborhood shortly after stabbing a 32-year-old in the neck in the 5600 block of South Peoria Avenue about 9:20 a.m., according to police. Moody fled the scene at the time but was placed in custody soon after by responding officers, the police said.

In Wicker Park, Bucktown and Logan Square, St. Hedwig and St. John Berchmans parishes will unite as a new parish, with both existing churches operating as worship sites. The schools at St. John Berchmans and St. Mary of the Angels will remain unchanged, as will St. Mary’s parish.

Young Lee, 65, of 920 W. Lawrence Ave., the Heiwa Terrace senior living high-rise, was pronounced dead at 12:27 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said. Lee had been critically injured when a couch caught fire in his apartment early Monday, according to Chicago fire officials.
ZinZanni, which officially announces its return Tuesday, is to offer an all-new comedic show, albeit with the same star, Frank Ferrante, who opened the production prior to the pandemic. The commercial show, a Chicago-based spinoff from the Seattle-based circus company featuring musicians, acrobats, illusionists, aerialists and the like, will offer a full six shows per week, dinner included. The current nightly capacity is about 300 patrons and all those tickets will go on sale Tuesday.
