Guzman Rivas graduated from high school last year and made the dean’s list in her first year at McHenry County College, Huser said.

Cesar Natali-Rodriguez, 36, of the 36W block of Shady Lane, was convicted in a March jury trial on felony charges of armed robbery, aggravated kidnapping, armed violence, theft and aggravated unlawful restraint, a Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office news release said.
After Anderson was identified as one of the alleged gunmen, Chicago police obtained a warrant to track the GPS information on a Facebook profile he was associated with, according to the complaint. Beginning on April 26, “pings” from the Facebook account placed whoever was using it in the area of Miami, Florida, the complaint stated.
Highland Police officers were sent to the 2900 block of Highway Avenue for a domestic disturbance around 7:25 p.m. Aug. 11 when they found him lying unconscious and missing his right shoe, the probable cause affidavit said. A woman who was standing by him identified herself as McCormick and said she and the man, Brankin, had just gotten some ice cream across the street and she was trying to leave, records said, before telling the officer she didn’t need any assistance from him or EMS, records said.
The state funding for tests, however, has limits. The money can only be used to purchase tests developed by U. of I., though some schools already use other vendors. SafeGuard Surveillance, for example, is employed at some elementary schools, including Wilmette Public Schools District 39, and dozens of other public and private schools.

Barnes was fatally shot in Humboldt Park on May 2, according to authorities. Barnes, 34, and a 40-year-old man were on the sidewalk in the 800 block of North Ridgeway Avenue — the same block where Barnes lived — when someone walked up and shot both men, police said at the time. Barnes was shot in the left shoulder and right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 40-year-old was shot in the right arm and lower abdomen but was in good condition, police said. No one has been arrested in the double shooting.
