The driver was westbound on McDonald Road when his vehicle crossed the center line in front of South Elgin Fire District Station #2, South Elgin Deputy Police Chief Randy Endean said. The vehicle went into a culvert, took out a couple of trees, continued 100 more yards and came out of the culvert to strike another tree, he said.

The woman had been walking along the trail west of Kings Road, north of Prairieview Boulevard and south of Trails End Lane, and southwest of the Lily Cache Sports Fields West, when a coyote approached about 9 a.m. Sunday, according to Bolingbrook police Lt. Anthony Columbus. The trail along the creek is the Lily Cache Greenway, according to the Bolingbrook Park District.
According to the news release from Lt. Anthony Columbus, the man had been inside his home “when he heard a noise outside and saw the dome light lit on his vehicle.” He grabbed a handgun and went outside and saw what appeared to be more than one person rifling through his vehicle, which police did not provide a description of.

Officers in an unmarked police vehicle tried to stop the driver of a white Jeep SRT in the 2100 block of South Wabash Avenue about 10:50 p.m., according to a statement from police. After activating lights and sirens, an officer approached the Jeep but its driver tried to speed off, hitting the officer and three unmarked police vehicles.
