Jimenez, 28, had been on the police force for two years when he was gunned down coming to the aid of other officers during the Mercy Hospital shooting. He was married with three small children. On May 14, the 42-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 500 block of West Hawthorne Place, when her ex-husband, Paul Woebel, 47, came up behind her and struck her in the head, Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy said in a bond hearing streamed live Wednesday on YouTube.
