The McHenry County sheriff’s office and Spring Grove police responded to a residence in the 500 block of Sunrise Drive in an unincorporated part of McHenry at 9:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic battery, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. There authorities found a 25-year-old woman who said she had been beaten and stabbed by her boyfriend, Alexander Campos, also 25.
Kellie Bartoli, a spokeswoman for Chicago police, said the police report did not specify what type of blunt object the two men were armed with. Asked whether Tellez knew his attackers or if there was some argument or interaction before the men began hitting him in the head, Bartoli said “Detectives are still investigating.”
“We had this hope and sense that the vaccine was going to prevent everything,” Cole said. “Apparently, it’s just not happening. That might have to do with the transmissibility of variants, including delta and omicron, but in general, the vaccine is not preventing reinfection.”

About 88% of all fatal opioid overdoses in Chicago this year are related to fentanyl, according to the medical examiner, compared with 83% in all of 2020 and 74% in 2019.

Acting on a bad tip, police raided Young’s home in February 2019, restraining her while she was getting ready for bed and forcing her to stand handcuffed and naked as police searched her residence. The errant raid became national news in December 2020 after Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration sought an extraordinary order to prevent CBS-2 from airing video footage from the incident.
Search for tornado survivors continues at Amazon facility in downstate Edwardsville; 6 reported dead
The Amazon facility, among three in Edwardsville, is a 1.1 million square foot “delivery station” that employs about 190 workers across several shifts, according to Amazon. The facility, which opened in July 2020, prepares orders for “last-mile delivery” to customers. Edwardsville is about 25 miles northeast of St. Louis.
Skinner, 25, of Bellwood, who faces aggravated battery and official misconduct charges for the Friday incident at the Hillside high school, then allegedly threw a deflated dodge ball at the student, as well as a bottle of lotion and a water bottle, Assistant State’s Attorney Krista Peterson told the court.
“We’ve got a lot of guys sitting home with no symptoms right now,” Donovan said. “That’s obviously a good thing, too, because I think when guys have gone through a little difficulty of getting really, really sick, it’s really made it a lot harder for them coming back. So we do have some guys that have felt under the weather, we have some guys that have very, very mild symptoms and some guys who just don’t have any.”
