Several hours before the shooting, Reed and Hearns, 31, had a “brief but heated encounter” at a tavern in Kenosha, authorities said. Reed is alleged to have gone later to Hearns’ apartment building, police said, and fired several rounds into Hearns’ apartment from the lawn, according to reports.

The ordinance would allow sports gambling facilities within Wrigley Field, Guaranteed Rate Field, Soldier Field, the United Center and Wintrust Arena, or at sites within five blocks of those stadiums. Two off-track betting businesses licensed in Illinois could also opt to set up sportsbooks in Chicago. And one would be allowed in the casino, when it’s built.

“We need bold and courageous leaders who will stand up for the working people and taxpayers, leaders who will fight for economic prosperity and economic opportunities, our freedoms and support law enforcement to help provide safer communities for every Illinoisan,” he said. “Leaders focused on getting the masks off our kids and the policies out of our classrooms.”
This is the second incident involving alleged gun threats at a Niles school in about a week. On Monday, police announced that they are also seeking disorderly conduct charges in juvenile court against a 12-year-old Gemini Middle School student after she was identified as sending out a disturbing message over SnapChat on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
“He’s a fine cop, but I’m looking at … my crime stats & can honestly say that, in my 26 years living downtown, I’ve never seen lawlessness to this degree,” Reilly said. “It’s sickening. So I’ll apologize for using the word ‘moron.’ And I am anything but ‘Bush League.’ I want you to be successful, Mayor & I support you. But (this) has to change ASAP. We are losing downtown.”
