Interim Police Chief Keith Zupec announced the new policies during a Waukegan City Council meeting Monday at City Hall in the wake of the arrest and incarceration of Waukegan High School freshman Martell Williams, 15, for attempted murder, which turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.
In all, Cullerton was accused of fraudulently obtaining nearly $250,000 in salary, bonuses and other perks from the Teamsters between 2013 and 2016, ,including cellphone and vehicle allowances as well as health and pension contributions, Assistant U.S. Attorney Amarjeet Bhachu said.

“If you looked around, you would probably see many paintings here in this museum which depict our fight against aggressors, and on many on them we would find Russians,” Magierowski said. “The Ukrainian are now fighting the Russian army on their own soil, defending not only their freedom and their independence, but also ours.”
Later that month, the Tribune reported that AT&T itself had been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors amid the widening criminal probe into Madigan’s vaunted 13th Ward operations. In a statement to the Tribune at the time, AT&T said only that, in general, it cooperates with any requests from law enforcement.

Among the early filers for the seat were Chicago Ald. Pat Dowell, 3rd, state Sen. Jacqueline Collins, workforce development coordinator Karin Norington-Reaves, who has Rush’s endorsement, community activist Jahmal Cole and Jonathan Jackson, civil rights activist and son of the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Civilian Office of Police Accountability, the city agency that tracks and investigates police misconduct, was notified within a day of the arrest, according to public records that were returned to the Tribune on Friday as part of an open records request. The sheet lists Talley as the accused member of the incident under investigation, and it lists Chief Ernest Cato, who heads the counterterrorism bureau and oversees the narcotics division, as the “reporting party” and “third party.”
Michael Gillis, a Metra spokesman, said the trains were still stopped about two hours after the package was found inside the station. Chicago police and Metra police were at the scene. Gillis said he did not have any details on how the package was found or what it looked liked.
