Chris Weafer of Macro-Advisory, a consultancy specializing in Russia, said the Russian government “is adopting a carrot-and-stick approach to foreign business,” with talk of nationalization balanced out with government help for those who stay. A key reason, Weafer said, is the Kremlin’s desire to avoid mass unemployment.

As long as the current metrics remain in place, it is reasonable for community association boards to repeal their indoor mask mandates for indoor common areas and modify any temporary COVID-19 protocols, as appropriate, while continuing to monitor metrics for any changes that could require another pivot in COVID-19 protocols.

Rivian, which launched production in September, produced 1,015 vehicles last year, coming up short of its 1,200-unit production target for 2021. Council may eliminate or shrink historic district encompassing old Elgin National Watch Company area
The manual details what is and isn’t allowed in a historic district, and covers such things as historically appropriate siding, windows and other building materials. Amendments being proposed should make it clearer and simpler for property owners in the city’s five historic districts to make repairs and improvements, City Manager Rick Kozal said.
