Brett Favre’s weekly SiriusXM show has been paused after the former Green Bay Packers quarterback allegedly conspired with government officials to direct federal welfare funds to the University of Southern Mississippi, where his daughter plays volleyball.
Favre’s Tuesday show, “The SiriusXM Blitz With Brett Favre and Bruce Murray,” is “on hold,” a spokesperson confirmed to the Daily News Monday, just days after ESPN Milwaukee said it was temporarily suspending “The Brett Favre Show,” on which the Hall of Famer recaps Packers games.

Favre, 52, has been accused of conspiring with former Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant to shuttle federal welfare funds toward the construction of a new $5 million volleyball stadium for his daughter.
“Wow, just got off the phone with Phil Bryant! He is on board with us! We will get this done!” nonprofit founder Nancy New texted Favre, according to a new report from Mississippi Today last week.

New and her son pleaded guilty in April to misusing welfare grant money. A former director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services, John Davis, also pleaded guilty Thursday to federal and state felony charges for conspiracy to misspend welfare money. All three have agreed to testify against co-conspirators.
Two years after the volleyball stadium, Favre also allegedly tried to get welfare funds moved to build an indoor practice facility for the University of Southern Mississippi’s football team, the Associated Press reported Sunday.
