The state and city of Chicago are partnering with building owners to make vaccination clinics available to workers in major commercial buildings in downtown Chicago and other cities across Illinois, Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday.

About 2:45 a.m., a sedan was driving east on West Jefferson Street approaching Raynor Avenue, according to a news release from the Joliet Police Department. The car failed to follow a curve in the road and drove off the road, striking a tree and a traffic signal, police said.
“But I think that there’s so much important stuff going on, and especially the past year,” Osaka added. “I think a lot of unexpected things have happened and if it’s putting people at risk, and if it’s making people very uncomfortable, then it definitely should be a discussion, which I think it is as of right now.”
“We have three really good individuals that can play some basketball,” forward Thad Young said. “I love playing with those guys, and I think they’re going to continue to be great going forward. Obviously, Zach and Vooch are our prime guys, but Coby (White) is coming along the way and Pat is getting better each and every game.
Though daily testing data varies periodically, state figures show that the seven-day average for total tests administered has decreased since January, when the first vaccinations were just beginning for health care workers. That month, the seven-day average regularly surpassed 90,000 tests until testing numbers began generally decreasing in February and March. In April, seven-day testing averages ranged between around 70,000 and 80,000, down from peaks in November when daily tests were surpassing 100,000.
The American Women Quarters Program will feature as many as 20 women “from a wide spectrum of fields including, but not limited to, suffrage, civil rights, abolition, government, humanities, science, space, and the arts,” the U.S. Mint said in a statement, adding that the women would be from “ethnically, racially, and geographically diverse backgrounds.”
“Getting the first one out of the way, that Pérez high moon shot with the wind and everything, that was nice,” Mendick said after the game. “Got that one out of the way and then I was like, all right, you can take a breath, relax and enjoy it.”
The Tax Policy Center study found only 16% of tax filers with income between $20,000 and $50,000 claimed the SALT deduction in 2017, compared to 76% of tax filers with income between $100,000 and $200,000 and over 90% with income above $200,000. Though, tax filers earning above $100,000 were 18% of all tax filers, they accounted for about 78% of the total dollar amount of SALT deductions reported, the study found.
Alvarez attended Schurz High School and had his first job at 17, working as a busboy alongside his father, Oscar Martinez, 42. He also worked for a short time with an aunt, Teresa Martinez, 31, before taking the job he had when he was killed, working at a meatpacking plant just outside Chicago with his brother, Alex Martinez, and mother, Veronica Alvarez.
