The new fall date holds significance, as October is LGBTQ History Month. Organizers urge everyone to continue to celebrate and observe Pride Month in June, as well as explore LGBTQ history in the symbolic month of October, paying tribute to the activists of the past that have made progress possible. October is also when National Coming Out Day is, which influenced the decision to have the parade then, Frye said.

In the U.S., Ford’s largest market, electric vehicles are only 1.2% of Ford’s sales through April. Ford currently offers only one all-electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E SUV, but by next spring it will have an all-electric F-150 pickup and a battery powered Transit big commercial van on the roads. The company said 70,000 customers have put down $100 deposits to reserve an electric F-150 in the week since it was unveiled. Ford’s F-Series pickup is the top-selling vehicle in the U.S.

Police received calls about a person who was shot and found Samuel Ortiz-Rodriguez, 46, of North Aurora, in the 400 block of South Spencer Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Aurora paramedics arrived on scene and took Ortiz-Rodriguez, of the 300 block of Hidden Creek Lane, to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
