Officials also said that some people may become ill, usually three to 15 days after the bite of an infected mosquito. Common symptoms include fever, nausea, headache and muscle aches. In some individuals, severe illness including meningitis or encephalitis, or even death, can occur.
“It’s hard to compare anything to how it was last season,” Franklin said. “I don’t think that’s necessarily fair to some of the coaches, you know, that were put in that situation last year. But I love where we’re at, we’re way ahead.”
