Emonte Morgan, 21, was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder of a peace officer, one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and one count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, police and prosecutors announced Monday afternoon. His brother, Eric Morgan, 22, faces charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon as well as one count of obstructing justice. They are expected to appear for bond hearings in Cook County court on Tuesday.

“I’m just going to follow the NFL protocols as much as I can, as best as I can,” said Jackson, who missed the Ravens’ Week 12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last season while on the reserve/COVID-19 list. “I’m not worried about it. Last year, [when] I came off COVID[-19], I felt like we did pretty good, and this year, I’m trying to do the same thing, if anything. So, just like I said, I’m just going to follow the protocols.”

Nose tackle Eddie Goldman, who tested positive and went on the list on Aug. 3, remains out. Goldman, who opted out of the 2020 season because he was high risk for the virus, has not indicated whether he is vaccinated. Unvaccinated players who test positive and are asymptomatic must isolate for 10 days before returning, while any player who tested positive and experienced symptoms must isolate for 10 days after symptoms appeared.
