The beetle on your flower is called an Oriental beetle (Anomala orientalis). It has a similar biology to the Japanese beetle, and the grubs are almost impossible to discern between the two. It is attracted to many different ornamental flowers, but is usually a very minor pest, so it does not need to be controlled.
This is what happens when the entire neighborhood shows up (virtually) for what people might think is a block party, but which quickly devolves into a snip-fest. Reading comments posted there can be like overhearing the conversation at the “mean girls” table in the middle school cafeteria, only to realize that they’re talking about you!

He ran into traffic, didn’t get out of bounds or slide and instead tried twirling past Miami Dolphins cornerback Nik Needham. It didn’t work.
The Bears prepared for training camp with the idea that second-round pick Teven Jenkins, whom they traded up to select, would win the job. Just about everyone but Jenkins has lined up at the position. Four players — Elijah Wilkinson, Borom, Alex Bars and Arlington Hambright — have taken reps with the first team, and Wilkinson was there for the bulk of the preseason opener.
“All three quarterbacks distinguished themselves in the spring and preseason camp,” Kelly said. “Clearly, each has the skills necessary to lead, but Jack proved to be more consistent, and therefore going into our opener, gives us the best chance for success.”
