At least two economy lots remain inaccessible to travelers. Lot E is closed. “A lot of these guys are used to playing on immaculate fields and pitches in Europe and it wasn’t going to be that,” he said. “Really, it’s just trying to make sure guys stay calm because we have a lot of different personalities, a lot of types, guys that can get frustrated and guys that can get anxious if things aren’t going the way they want them to. And my role and where I see myself is just trying to keep guys focused, keep guys calm and keep guys in the moment.”
“It just depends on how your team is shaped up, but right now, those two-inning relievers, when we had those, the plan when early in the season we had Keegan and Steele was like, OK, I can use one one day and use one the next and at least they have for sure a day off the next day, maybe two depending on how the game is going,” Ross said. “I think some guys pitch freer.”
“Art’s a guy that was just impressive once he got here, so I wasn’t surprised at how he handled the moment,” Bielema said. “I didn’t know how he was going to play (against Nebraska), but I knew the handling of it wouldn’t be an issue. “I did not forget the fact they handed us our one loss last season, and I don’t think anyone has,” said Joseph, a sophomore. “Just like every Big Ten opponent, we know what they are and the capability that they have. They’re going to attack it the same way they attack everyone. But there’s still a vengeance there. We’ve still got some making up for that loss.”
