“He’s done a great job in training camp, so yeah, I think there’s a possibility there,” Nagy said. “First of all, he’s a great kid. He’s just a hard worker and tough as nails so you love that about him. He’s done everything we’ve asked He’s created a lot of depth for us and he’s very coachable and I think Coach (Mike) Rumph has done a great job of really early on here developing him.”
Outside, the man was chased down the street by an unknown person, and then Jefferson, who was wearing a black hat and no shirt, also confronted the man, prosecutors said. Jefferson and the unknown person then allegedly attacked the man, knocking him to the ground. His wallet fell out of his pants and Jefferson took it. They then continued to hit and kick the man, prosecutors said.
Presta, 70, was charged in U.S. District Court last year with taking an envelope stuffed with cash bribes from a representative of SafeSpeed LLC, a red-light camera company that does business in his town. The pace of hiring, though, has weakened — at least for now. Last week, the government reported that hiring slowed dramatically in August, with employers adding just 235,000 jobs after having added roughly a million in both June and July. Hiring plummeted in industries that require face-to-face contact with the public, notably restaurants, hotels and retail. Still, some jobs were added in other areas, and the unemployment rate actually dropped to 5.2% from 5.4%.

The armed robberies happened between 1:45 a.m. and around 2:15 a.m. and the victims all had either a phone, wallet or purse or both stolen, police said. But despite the geographic proximity, quick succession of the crimes and a similar vehicle description for the three robberies, investigators said there were a different number of thieves during each attack.
“Honestly, I’ve got to tell you, I don’t feel confident sending my kids back to school. I don’t. Where Hermosillo will get his chance to again prove he can be a reliable major-leaguer is unclear. Despite his age, Hermosillo does not have any minor-league options left, which could deter teams wanting 40-man roster flexibility. The Cubs have only three players with guaranteed contracts for 2022 — Kyle Hendricks, Jason Heyward and David Bote — while two notables, Willson Contreras and Ian Happ, are still in arbitration. They could bring back Hermosillo to use in an outfield platoon, perhaps with Heyward or in center field with Rafael Ortega, who is arbitration-eligible for the first time, if the organization wants to allocate their financial resources to other positions.
At first glance, Vildor is a slender (he’s listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds) and clearly inexperienced replacement for Fuller, but everything isn’t always as it appears. While Vildor possesses a thin frame, at the 2020 scouting combine he put up 22 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds, tied for the most at his position.
