Borom, a fifth-round pick from Missouri, not only missed the previous five weeks, a concussion in training camp sidelined him out for about two weeks. The Bears believe he has the skill set to emerge as a starter at one of the tackle positions, and he was training at left tackle after a domino effect of moves that occurred when second-round pick Teven Jenkins was sidelined with a back injury that led to surgery.
Kevin Cheveldayoff, the assistant general manager during that 2010 championship season and now the Winnipeg Jets general manager, met with Bettman on Friday. But the NHL decided not to take any action against Cheveldayoff, saying in a statement he was “not responsible for the improper decisions” made by the Blackhawks regarding Aldrich.

Nagy tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and has been away from the team since, though he has been participating in meetings via Zoom while monitoring practice through a live stream from an undisclosed location. On Wednesday, Nagy declined to say where he was working from during his quarantine period. On Friday, he also declined to say whether he has experienced symptoms during his bout with coronavirus.

One victim, a 50-year-old man, was shot in the head and shoulder and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. A 39-year old man was shot twice in his shoulder and took himself to Loretto Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Nick Bosa, 6-foot-4, 266 pounds, is in his third season in San Francisco after the 49ers made him the second pick in 2019 out of Ohio State. Bosa became the sixth player since 1982 to have seven sacks through his first seven games as a rookie, joining Mark Anderson (2006), Julius Peppers (2002), Santana Dotson (1992), James Francis (1990) and Vernon Maxwell (1983). Bosa finished the season with nine sacks (and had four in the postseason) but played in only two games in 2020 because of a torn ACL.
It’s also critically important to remember the weather. Despite a few spectacular storms, “this has been a very dry year,” Janoski said. With a changing climate, unpredictable extremes of weather — such as rain that comes only in occasional bursts, with drought in between — are becoming more common.
“Jocelyn,” his business partner of 25 years, has become close to the family over the years. Sharon tells me that Jocelyn occasionally spends the night at their house when there is an upcoming business meeting in our area, since she lives quite a distance away.
