Radio has endured tough years, accelerated by the pandemic. In Chicago, year-over-year radio revenue fell 24% to $325 million in 2020, according to according to media research firm BIA Advisory Services. The Score, which ranked fifth in revenue among Chicago stations, struggled with a dearth of live sports programming and fell 26% to $15 million in 2020, according to BIA.

A UCPD officer who was on patrol saw a man with a handgun while walking near the corner of 53rd Street and South Woodlawn Avenue, according to a statement from Eric Heath, associate vice president for safety and security at the University of Chicago.
Dermody plans to invest more than $500 million, including land acquisition, to redevelop the Allstate campus as a massive logistics and fulfillment operation, expediting delivery of products to consumers and businesses in the Chicago area, the company told the Tribune.
