“With the shift the last couple years, I played a lot of second base, played it a whole lot,” Simmons said. “If they need me, I’m part of the team. I’m trying to win. … We talked about I’m going to play mainly short, but I don’t know what’s going to happen throughout the season. I’m open to helping out wherever I’m needed.”
