Multiple police and fire crews respond to a water rescue in Blue Island Monday morning, officials said.
Blue Isand police Chief Geoffrey Farr said they weree dealing with a suicidal subject who jumped off the Chatham Street bridge into the Cal-Sag Channel.
Before 7 a.m., several Fire Department and Coast Guard boats were in the area of Chatham Street near the Cal-Sag Channel to rescue a person in the water, Farr said.
