A man was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon outside an outreach center affiliated with Arne Duncan in the Roseland neighborhood on the city’s Far South Side.
It happened about 12:10 p.m. at 1050 E. 95th St., according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.
The victim, 28, was walking near a parking lot when two assailants confronted him and one fired shots, police said.
The victim was dead at the scene after being shot in the head, said Langford.
An outreach center is located at the 95th Street address and Duncan is the founder of Chicago CRED. Duncan was CEO of Chicago Public Schools from 2001 to 2008 and U.S. secretary of education from 2009 to 2015.
No one was arrested and detectives are investigating, police said.
