It has everything that Cale and her wife wanted: a wood-burning fireplace, a “killer kitchen” and, most important, proximity to both their elderly mothers. The couple closed in December, made improvements over the winter, and started living in the house in March. At $455,000, they paid a tad over asking price, but “in this market, you make a decision 15 minutes after you walk in,” said Cale, an attorney.
