Alma Hill, the sister of Tamara Clayton, who is pictured with her daughter Jayla Shelton, was shot and killed on an expressway in February 2019. Hill is pushing for more high-definition cameras on expressways to prevent what happened to her sister from occurring again. Legislation called the Tamara Clayton Expressway Act was enacted Jan. 1, 2020 to fund the initiative, and installation of some 200 cameras began in August and will be ongoing into next year.
