A woman was pronounced dead Wednesday morning after she was found with multiple gunshot wounds in an alley in the Chatham neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 1 a.m., officers responding to ShotSpotter technology found an unidentified woman unresponsive in an alley in the 7900 block of South Vincennes Boulevard.
She was taken with multiple gunshot wounds to UChicago Medicine where she was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
