A 64-year-old Flossmoor woman died Sunday in an officer-involved shooting after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance, according to Flossmoor police.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the shooting, and police were not providing additional details beyond a brief statement issued Sunday, according to Chief Tod Kamleiter.

State police are conducting a separate investigation into the shooting.
“For us to make any comment would compromise the investigation,” Kamleiter said.
He said he could not discuss the officer’s status and whether the officer has been reassigned to other duties while the investigation continues.
