“One pitch is not the answer to him, in my opinion, it’s the totality of the repertoire and how they work together and learning why the cutter works and the changeup plays down away,” Hottovy said. “Then the sinker and just moving all those pieces around, I don’t think there’s one magic-bullet pitch that’s going to be the answer in how he gets lefties out more consistently, but in totality that repertoire and how he continues to build on it and utilize it.”
