Officials will hold a press conference to speak about Monday’s mass shooting in Highland Park. Highland Park Police Department, Lake County Major Crime Task Force and the Lake County Coroner’s Office will hold the briefing at the Highland Park Police Department.
The gun that was used in the mass shooting was purchased legally in Illinois, authorities and Highland Park mayor Nancy Rotering told the Tribune Tuesday morning.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m.
