Two people were found dead Monday inside a vehicle parked in the Lockport Walmart parking lot, police said.
At 5:45 p.m., police received a call for two unresponsive people in a vehicle at Walmart, 16241 S. Farrell Road, Lockport deputy police Chief Ron Huff said.
Officers found a 53-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman inside the vehicle who “appeared to have been sleeping in the vehicle,” Huff said. Police are investigating the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning but not ruling out drug overdose, he said.
There are no signs of violence associated with their deaths, Huff said. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
