Bean told police he had pulled up to his home at about 5:30 p.m. on Brookside Glen Drive to drop off some food for his family, Tinley Park police Chief Matthew Walsh said.
As Bean pulled away from the curb, Stiso apparently had to swerve to avoid hitting Bean’s vehicle, then stopped his car a couple of doors down, Walsh said.
Stiso got out of his vehicle and verbally assaulted Bean, who also got out of his vehicle, according to the chief.
At some point the verbal altercation escalated, with Bean allegedly pushing Stiso, he said.
Walsh said that with the victim unable to tell police what happened, investigators relied on Bean’s account as well the drivers of three vehicles passing who told police they saw Stiso being shoved.
