National Weather Service officials said portions of north central and northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana would experience quick-moving showers Thursday morning with wind gusts from 45 to 55 mph.
Officials said a thunderstorm or two was possible with wind damage in locations south of the Kankakee River. Wind gusts were expected south of Interstate 80 and along, and east of I-55. The winds may be capable of downing tree limbs, officials said.

The rain may turn to snow late Thursday morning into early afternoon.
Current temperatures at Midway Airport were at 38 degrees with rain, fog and mist.
