Highland Park police say they arrested a Mundelein man in connection with a reported trespass this week at the former residence of Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan.

Authorities identified the suspect as Raiden K. Hagedorn, 18, of the 300 block of Anthony Avenue in Mundelein. He has been charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a residence with a person present, authorities said.

Police responded Tuesday afternoon to reports of a criminal trespass at the house in the 2700 block of Point Avenue and took Hagedorn into custody. Highland Park police requested a canine unit from the Lake County sheriff’s office to assist, officials said.

He was charged around 6 p.m. and later released on a recognizance bond, according to Highland Park police records. Hagedorn is scheduled to appear in court April 20 in Waukegan.

Jordan’s former residence is a 56,000-square-foot house with nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms and a full basketball court sitting on seven acres that include a golf practice area and a pond. The house has been for sale more than 10 years, and was listed initially at $29 million, but the price has dropped by more than half since then. It is currently listed at just under $15 million.

Jordan, who now resides in Florida, had the home built in the 1990s.
