“We are a part of this historic glass ceiling that has swept across the country,” he said. “It brought us our first female African American and Asian descent vice president of the United States of America. Who would have ever thought that a young lady, who is an alumni of Thornridge High School, would have shattered that glass ceiling right here in Dolton?
