U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley, D-Chicago, and his wife, Barbara, on April 5 sold their two-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot town home in the West De Paul neighborhood of Lincoln Park for $667,500.

Quigley, 63, has represented Illinois’ 5th congressional district since 2009.

In Lincoln Park, the Quigleys paid $520,000 in 2014 for the North Southport Avenue town home, which was built in 1989 and is in the Embassy Club development. The town home has 2-1/2 bathrooms, a first-floor family room, an attached one-car garage, a living room with a fireplace, and an updated white kitchen with stone countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Other features include newly refinished hardwood floors, new carpeting and a primary bedroom suite with new fixtures and a double-bowl vanity.

The Quigleys first listed the town home for $699,000 on Feb. 11, and they went under contract to sell it on March 1. A spokeswoman for Quigley told Elite Street that the congressman has moved closer to his Lakeview congressional office, which is at 3223 N. Sheffield Avenue.

The couple also own a three-bedroom, 2,551-square-foot house in Beverly Shores, Ind., which they bought in 2014 for $520,000, according to public records.

The town home had a $13,395 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
