Rep. Kelly to host Black women and girls symposium: “Reclaiming Our Wellness”

This Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 8:30 AM CT, Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) will host a Black Women and Girls Symposium titled: “Reclaiming Our Wellness”. The event will take place at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, IL.

The event will focus on addressing the eight domains of wellness for women: mental, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual wellness.

The event will open with a plenary session providing legislative updates, information regarding important research, updates regarding infant and maternal mortality, the benefits of homeopathic treatment and addressing the impact of Roe v Wade. After the plenary session the women can choose which breakout sessions that want to attend. There will also be an opportunity to meet the Congresswoman and visit invited community resources providers.
