South Loop restaurants and bars that have traditionally catered to office workers and business travelers have felt the impacts of COVID-19 longer than those in other neighborhoods and had to find ways to adapt, restaurateurs say. Nabil Moubayed, general manager of the Kimpton Gray, said the hotel originally wanted to reopen its cocktail bar Vol. 39 in April or May, but pushed that back to early August, 2021.
