A southbound train hit a vehicle near the Lake Cook Road train station in Deerfield, near the 600 block of Lake Cook Road, Northbrook Fire Chief Andy Carlson said. There was no vehicle crossing near where the car was hit, and it’s unclear why they were on the tracks, Carlson said.
