In this presentation, Aaron Neumann, Director of Technical Center, Nexen Tire, dives deep into the details of two next-generation products: the N’Fera Sport (UHP summer tire) and the N’Priz S Touring (all-season, EV-compatible tire).

Key highlights include:

N’Fera Sport (SU2):

Developed for premium European OEMs such as Porsche, BMW, Audi, and Mini.

Features 5% wider tread width and stiffer shoulders than the outgoing SU1 for improved handling and stopping power.

New compound with 28% more silica and advanced polymers for enhanced wet grip and durability.

Optimized for Autobahn-level performance with wide longitudinal channels to disperse water at high speeds.

N’Priz S Touring:

Designed for comfort, long tread life, and improved wet grip, with capability in light snow.

Replaces three older Nexen models (AH7, AH8, Roadian GTX) with a lineup of 94 sizes for sedans, SUVs, hybrids, and EVs.

First Nexen EV-compatible all-season tire, offering quiet performance, balanced ride quality, and extended treadwear.

Uses 3D interlocking sipes, high-resin compounds, and 4D polymer technology for optimized grip and flexibility across temperature ranges.

AI & Virtual Development:

Nexen employs AI and machine learning with a database of 190,000 tire designs to predict performance outcomes, optimize curing processes, and improve compound efficiency.

AI-based image recognition is also used in manufacturing to detect defects during X-ray inspections.

This “Virtual Brain Loop” system allows engineers to design, simulate, and refine tires faster and more accurately.

Together, these advancements show Nexen Tire’s strategy of blending AI-driven innovation, EV compatibility, and OEM partnerships to stay competitive in the global tire market.
