A Montgomery man involved in a crash Monday morning in an unincorporated area of Blackberry Township near Elburn in Kane County has died, officials said.
Kane County sheriff’s deputies responded around 7:15 a.m. to Keslinger Road, west of Thryselius Drive, near Elburn, for a crash with serious injuries, officials said.

An initial investigation shows Isaiah Jadzak, 27, of Maple Park, was driving a tan, 2003 Honda HR-V and traveling westbound on Keslinger Road. For an unknown reason, Jadzak’s vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a gray Honda Civic, according to officials.
The driver of the Civic, Marcus Jones, 45, of Montgomery, was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. Jadzak was taken to Delnor with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

While the crash occurred during hours most were driving students to school, police said no Kaneland students were involved in the crash.
