Firefighters were battling a massive fire at a Shorewood farm supply store Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out in the 25000 block of Black Road, the Troy Fire Protection District said. The flames appeared to consume large silos and apparently tore through the Tri-County Stockdale facility, a farm supply store located on the same block firefighters listed, according to published reports.

Authorities asked residents who live within two miles northeast of the fire to shelter in place because of the smoke. The Troy Fire Protection District is monitoring the exhaust for toxic fumes, it wrote on Facebook.
Multiple agencies are responding to the scene, it added.
