A man was wounded on Monday evening after being stabbed near Montrose Beach, police said.
The 29-year-old was on a walkway in the 4600 block of North Lawrence Wilson Drive when he got into a fight with someone at around 7:13 p.m., police said.
He was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital with stab wounds to the upper chest and is in critical condition.
No one is in custody and police are investigating.
