The driver, Jason Mitchell, 35, of the 3500 block of Greene Street in Steger, Illinois, disregarded officers’ attempt to pull him over and he continued to flee east on U.S. 30, according to the release. Mitchell then turned south on U.S. 41 through Schererville and St. John, police said.
