“He’s had such a varied practice, from civil work to injury work, property work and municipal work. He was the attorney for the town of Dyer for 12 years,” Matthews said Friday. “He did a lot of criminal work and was so knowledgeable, there were many times the judge would ask him to serve as Pro Tem. He was well-respected and had a very good reputation.”
