Jhon Durán scored two goals to help the Chicago Fire beat Inter Miami CF 3-1 Saturday at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.

Xherdan Shaqiri also scored for the Fire (9-13-8, 35 points). Gonzalo Higuaín scored the lone goal for Miami (10-13-6).
The victory helped keep the Fire’s razor-thin playoff hopes alive, but they face an uphill climb with only four matches remaining in the Major League Soccer regular season. The Fire’s 35 points put them in 12th in the Eastern Conference — six points back of the Columbus Crew for the seventh and final seed.

Gabriel Slonina saved two of the three shots he faced for the Fire. Nick Marsman made one save for Miami.
Both teams next play Tuesday, with the Fire visiting CF Montreal while Miami hosts the Columbus Crew.
