“I used to be a paperboy for the Chicago Daily News, and I remember delivering newspapers here, thinking, my gosh, someday it would sure be nice to have a house like this. Initially, it was out of my price range, but it came down and we negotiated, and I ended up getting it,” he said. “I’ve made a couple of minor changes. I did some tile work in the entryway, and in one of the rooms I’m replacing the carpeting, but I want to save the ambience that it holds. It’s a landmark, and I want to keep it that way. I don’t want to change anything that would take away from it.”
