One person died and four others are in serious to critical condition after a shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.
The Chicago Fire Department responded to reports of the shooting just before 4:45 p.m. where they pronounced one person dead at the scene, said Larry Merritt, Fire Department spokesperson.

Paramedics took two people to University of Chicago Medical Center, one person to Mount Sinai Hospital and one person to Stroger Hospital, all suffering gunshot wounds, Merritt said.
