On August 20, Community Renewal Society is proud to be a sponsor of Blaqout & Relaxation and Worlds Perfectionist first Black Wall Street Back to School Giveaway. The event will be held at 2045-2055 W. 79th Street on Saturday, August 20 and will run from 2:00 PM Central Time while supplies last.
Youth are invited to come out to receive free school supplies, free haircuts and styles, light refreshments, and to enjoy a field day of fun including games and bounce houses.
Community Renewal Society will be donating backpacks and school supplies.
Blaqout & Relaxation, located at 2045 w 79th Street is a place you can go and relax your mind. “I am some one that is dedicated to giving back to the community, especially our youth,” said Blaqout & Relaxation owner, Sapphire Morales.
Worlds Perfectionist was established by Markita Young & Yusef Bowen with the goal to bring convenience to the neighborhood during the pandemic and after the looting and rioting where a lot of local businesses didn’t reopen. Utilizing resources from their other businesses, Worlds Perfectionist Cleaning and Worlds Perfectionist Mobile Car Wash, they were able to give the community a store where they can purchase convenience items, clothing, shoes and hair accessories. “Getting to know the people we serve in the community is the most amazing part of opening up on a daily basis. Being very engaged and being able to give back is blessing and a heartwarming feeling. It feels great to pour out into others. We’re very pleased to serve this community with love,” said owners of Worlds Perfectionist.
Hairstyles will be provided by Deja Dior of Dior Beauty located on the south side of Chicago at 2051 W 79th Street.
Food will be provided by No Sauce AZ Smokehouse located 2055 w 79th Street, near the neighborhoods of Auburn Gresham and Englewood. They chose this area because they had a vision to bring Texas style BBQ to one of the richest and historic neighborhoods in Chicago. No Sauce specializes in smoked meats, rib tips, ribs, links, and all the fixins!
