Column: Northwestern’s new George Jewett Trophy is a great idea, but there needs to be more done to recognize the accomplishments of Black athletes

Ohio State-Michigan is arguably the best rivalry in college football but has no trophy. The Buckeyes and Wolverines have combined for nine Heisman Trophy winners, and they should pay homage to two figures who made history — Archie Griffin, the only player to win a Heisman twice, and Charles Woodson, the only primarily defensive player to win the award.
