The pandemic has fueled a major shift to online grocery shopping, with sales at retailers nationwide growing by 64% in 2020, and another 12.3% last year, to more than $122 billion, according to research firm eMarketer. Online grocery sales are projected to double by 2025 to nearly $244 billion, or about 18% of the $1.45 trillion U.S. retail grocery market.
