Another man who was working at the store at the time told police he heard one shot while he was in the freezer and ran out to find Khamo on the ground, according to a police report. The man called 911 and the owner of the store, who was able to get video footage of the shooting.
The video, according to the report, showed that the man attempted to rob Khamo and they exchanged words before the man pulled out a gun and shot Khamo. Khamo then pulled out his own gun and also fired a shot, but police said the man was not struck.
