Seven months before Chicago voters head to the polls, millions of dollars have been donated or loaned to mayoral candidates.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot is running for reelection and will face six challengers. She has nearly $2.6 million in campaign funds – the most of any candidate but one who loaned his campaign nearly double that amount.

Election Day for the mayor’s race is Feb. 28, 2023. If no candidate receives a majority of votes in February, a runoff election will be held on April 4, 2023.
